Team and workspace settings

How to run your Bupple workspace — invite people, give them roles, set up campaign roles, integrations, the Superagent, webhooks, your own account and Updates.

Video coming soon

The tutorial for this chapter is being recorded. The guide below covers everything in the meantime.

A workspace is your team's shared home in Bupple. It holds your brands, your files, your credits and the people who work with you. This chapter walks through workspace settings, where owners and admins run the team, and your own account settings, which are yours alone. It ends with Updates, where Bupple tells you what happened.

Open workspace settings

Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Workspace › Manage workspace. The same Workspace menu lists every workspace you belong to, so you can switch to another, and has Add new workspace.

In settings, the sidebar turns into the list of sections. You only see the sections your role allows. For example, a person who cannot see members has no Members row. Press Back (or Esc) to return to the main sidebar. The top of every section names the workspace and says what you are in it, how many members it has and its credit balance, for example You are the owner here · 6 members · 58,286 credits.

Members and invitations

Members is where you invite people and decide what they can do.

The Members section with the settings list, the invite form and the member table

  1. The settings sections. Click one to open it.
  2. Invite someone. Type an Email address, pick a Role (Admin, Member or Viewer) and press Send invite. Bupple emails them a single-use link that expires. If they already have a Bupple account, they are told in the product too.
  3. Role. Change a person's role from the menu in their row. Your own custom roles are listed under Your workspace's roles. The owner's row just says Owner.
  4. Access. This says whether the person has exactly their role's rights (Member defaults) or a few changes on top. Click it to change rights for this one person.
  5. Make owner hands the workspace to someone else. You become an admin, and only the new owner can undo it. The bin removes a person. They lose access at once, and anything they made stays.

Use Search a name or an email and Filters to find someone in a long list.

Change one person's access

Clicking a person's access opens a panel with every right Bupple has, grouped by area: Workspace, People, Billing, Brands, Library and more. Each right has a short sentence saying what it allows.

The access panel for one member with a checklist of rights

Anything you change here applies to this person only. Everyone else in the same role is unaffected. A right you add is marked added, and a right you take away is marked removed.

Pending invitations

Invitations that have not been accepted yet are listed under Pending invitations, with the role and when the link expires. You can still change the role. Copy link gives you the invitation link to send yourself, which helps if the email lands in spam. Resend sends a new email, and the old link stops working. Revoke cancels the invitation.

Roles

Roles lists the roles people can hold. Three are built in:

  • Admin runs the workspace: people, brands, content and model policy. An admin cannot spend money or delete the workspace unless given that right.
  • Member produces work: uploads, brands, drafts, publishing and AI generation. No people or billing access.
  • Viewer is read-only. A viewer sees the workspace, its brands, its library and its posts, and can produce nothing.

Press New role to make your own.

The New role window with name, description, start from and apps

Give it a Name (for example Freelancer) and a one-line Description.
Pick what to Start from: Admin, Member or Viewer. The boxes below are ticked to match.
Under Apps, choose All apps or Only the apps I pick.
Under What people in this role can do, tick or untick any right, then save.

Then put people in the role from Members. If you change a role later, the people in it get the change on their next click. Nobody has to sign in again.

Campaign roles

Campaign roles decide what a person can do inside one campaign. You give someone a campaign role when you add them to a campaign. Owner is built in and belongs to whoever starts a campaign. Each workspace also starts with Sign off, Create, Review and View only, which you can rename, change or delete.

Each campaign role is a mix of five rights: See the campaign, Comment, Make content, Sign off (approve content before it is published) and Manage (edit the details, the members and the credit limit). Press New role to add your own. See Campaigns.

General

General holds the workspace's Name and Description, and Allowed email domains. Type a domain and press Enter, comma or space. Leave it empty to invite anyone. Press Save changes when you are done.

Below that is Brands, which lists every brand in the workspace. Active is the brand you are working in, Default is where people land until they pick one, and Switch moves you to another brand. Manage brands opens the Brands page.

The Brands card with Content basics and Platform rules for each brand

For each brand, Content basics and Platform rules say whether agents also follow Bupple's general advice for that brand. Auto leaves it to the brand's own Brand Kit page and chat. On or Off decides it here, and the brand's page then shows the switch as set by workspace settings. The All brands row sets every brand at once.

At the bottom, the owner can Delete workspace. This deletes the workspace, everything in it and its subscription, and cannot be undone.

Integrations, Superagent, Providers and Models

  • Integrations. Choose which integrations everyone in the workspace can use, such as Canva and Fal, and what each one may do. Turning one off deletes nothing. Its files stay in your Media Library.
  • Superagent. Switch Web Search, Link Reader and Social Reader on or off for everyone. Anything off here is off in every chat and automation. Only an owner or admin can change these.

The Superagent section with Web Search, Link Reader and Social Reader switched on

Each person can still turn a tool off for a single chat from the gear button beside the message box. See Superagent.

  • Providers. Every AI service Bupple uses runs on Bupple's key by default, and the cost comes out of your credits. Connect your own key to a provider, such as fal.ai or Firecrawl, and that provider bills you directly. Bupple then stops charging credits for that service. Some providers do not take your own key, and say so.
  • Models. Choose the Default model for chats, and which AI models the workspace may spend credits on. Each model shows its rate in credits per million tokens. A blocked model is refused before it can run, so nothing is billed. Press Save policy to keep your choices.

Files, accounts and activity

  • Storage shows how much space each brand uses and the workspace total. Storage is shared by every brand.
  • Connected accounts lists every social account connected to a brand, with its status and dates. To connect or reconnect one, open the brand. See Posts.
  • Tags lists the workspace's file tags. Add one under New tag, or rename or delete one.
  • Processing turns on Automatic processing, work that starts the moment a file lands in the Media Library: Transcode, Transcribe and AI context. Each one spends credits.
  • Search decides what the Find box at the top of the sidebar can search: Search the Media Library and Search in apps.
  • Activity is everything people did in the workspace, newest first. At the top, Credits spent shows the total for the period and who spent what. Click a person to see only what they did, or use Filters and search.

Webhooks

Webhooks send the workspace's events to another tool, such as Zapier, Make or your CRM. Press Add webhook.

The Add webhook window with URL, description and where events come from

  1. URL. Must start with https://.
  2. Description (optional), so you remember what it is for.
  3. Send events from: The whole workspace, One brand or One campaign.
  4. Send every event, or turn it off and pick events one by one.

Bupple then shows the webhook's signing secret once. Copy it right away. Open a webhook to see its Details and Delivery log, and to Send test, Edit, Turn off, Rotate secret or Delete it. A failed call is tried again a few times. A delivery in the log can be resent.

Plans, Subscription and Billing

Plans and Subscription show your plan and subscription. Billing shows your credits and invoices, and only people with the right to see billing get that row. Free credits are spent first, then the credits your plan includes, then credits you bought. Plan credits are topped back up every month, and bought credits never expire.

Your account

Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account. These settings are yours alone and follow you into every workspace.

  • Profile. Your picture comes from the account you sign in with. Set a Display name, which is what member lists, comments and mentions call you. Your email is managed by your sign-in provider. Appearance switches between Light, Dark and System in this browser. Delete account is at the bottom.
  • Notifications. What this workspace tells you, and where.
  • Workspaces. Every workspace you belong to, your role in each and its brands. To leave a workspace, ask its owner or an admin to remove you.

Notification settings

Notices come in groups: Mentions, Files & processing, Activity, Billing, Analytics alerts, System and Security. Switch a group on or off, and pick where it reaches you: In app, Email or Push. The page says which notices are emailed and to which address. These choices are yours. An admin cannot change them for you, and each workspace keeps its own set.

Notification settings with In app, Email and Push for each group

Under Alert banners, Close banners on a timer makes warning banners fade after a few seconds. The alert stays unread either way.

Updates

Updates in the sidebar shows notifications, mentions and background jobs in this workspace, newest first.

The Updates page with its tabs, filters and search

  • The tabs are All, Mentions, Notifications and Background jobs. The keys A, M, N and J jump between them.
  • Filter by Warnings or Errors, or by app, and search with Search updates.
  • Each update has Open, which takes you to the thing it is about, and Mark read. Mark all read clears them all.
  • Notification settings in the sidebar opens your account's notification settings.
  • Brand Kit: what your team fills in for each brand.
  • Campaigns: where campaign roles are used.
