Bupple MCP — use Bupple from Claude or ChatGPT

How to connect Bupple to your own Claude or ChatGPT, choose which workspaces and brands it may use, and disconnect it again.

Video coming soon

The tutorial for this chapter is being recorded. The guide below covers everything in the meantime.

Bupple MCP lets you use Bupple from inside your own Claude or ChatGPT. Once connected, Claude or ChatGPT can work with your brands, your Media Library, your posts and the Superagent's tools. Anything it does that costs credits is charged just like in the app.

You set it up once: copy the Bupple address, add it to Claude or ChatGPT, then sign in with Bupple and tick what it may use.

Good to know

Your workspace's plan must include Bupple MCP, and only an owner or admin of a workspace can connect an app to it. If you do not see Bupple MCP in your account settings, ask your workspace owner.

Open the Bupple MCP tab

Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account. In account settings, open Bupple MCP.

The Bupple MCP tab with the Bupple address, the Copy button and the steps for Claude and ChatGPT

  1. Copy puts the Bupple address on your clipboard. The button says Copied when it worked.
  2. Claude lists the steps for claude.ai and the Claude desktop app.
  3. ChatGPT lists the steps for ChatGPT.

Connect Claude

On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Name it Bupple and paste the Bupple address you copied.
In the form, pick OAuth client › Register automatically and Authentication › Sign in now. Add no request headers, and leave Advanced (Transport: Streamable HTTP) as it is.
Claude opens a Bupple page. Sign in if you are asked to, then choose what Claude may use (see below) and press Allow.

Connect ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps and connectors and add a new connector. This uses ChatGPT's developer mode, where your ChatGPT plan offers it.
Paste the Bupple address you copied.
Sign in with Bupple, choose what ChatGPT may use (see below) and press Allow.

Choose what it may use

When Claude or ChatGPT sends you to Bupple, a page asks what it may do. The heading names the app, for example Claude wants to connect to Bupple, and the line under it says where you will be sent back to.

The consent page with the Halden workspace ticked, the permissions, the spend-credits option and Allow

  1. Workspaces and brands it may use. Tick each workspace the app may work in. A ticked workspace starts on All brands (including new ones). Untick that to pick brands one by one. A workspace you cannot tick says why, for example Bupple MCP is not included in this workspace's plan.
  2. Permissions. The app is read-only by default: it can read the brands, files, posts and credits in what you ticked. Tick any of Add and edit files, Delete files, Edit the brand, Draft posts, Use the agents and Generate media to let it do more. It does these as you, without asking each time.
  3. Let this app spend credits. Leave it off and the app only sees tools that cost nothing. Turn it on and it can spend credits without asking. Each job is paid from the workspace of the brand it is for.
  4. Allow connects the app and sends you back to it. Cancel connects nothing.

See and disconnect your connected apps

The same tab lists every app you connected under Your connected apps.

The Your connected apps card before anything is connected

Each app shows the workspaces and brands it can use, what it may do, whether it Can spend credits, and when it was last used. Disconnect cuts it off everywhere at its very next request. If the app can use more than one workspace, Remove from (the workspace's name) takes away just that one.
