Platform 101
Plans, credits and billing
How your plan, your subscription and your credits work — compare plans, top up credits, turn on auto top-up, and read your credit balance and invoices.

The tutorial for this chapter is being recorded. The guide below covers everything in the meantime.
Everything that costs something in Bupple is paid in credits from your workspace. Your plan gives you credits every month, and you can buy more whenever you need them. Four settings pages cover this: Plans, Subscription, Top up and Billing. Open them from workspace settings (click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Workspace › Manage workspace), or pick Billing in the same menu. Top up and Billing are shown only to people with the right to see billing.
Credits in one minute
- Every new workspace starts with 100 free credits.
- Your plan's credits arrive every month, and are topped back up each month. A yearly plan's credits arrive every month too.
- Credits you buy never expire.
- Free credits are spent first, then the credits your plan includes, then the credits you bought.
- Before anything that costs credits runs, Bupple checks that you have enough, and says the price, or how it is charged, first.
- On a paid plan, a job that has already started always finishes. If your credits run out halfway, the balance goes below zero, and what you owe is paid back first from your next top-up or renewal.
Your plan's name and your balance are always at the bottom of the sidebar.
Plans
Plans opens with the plan you are on (You're on …), its status, View subscription and Cancel plan.
Compare plans sets every plan side by side, limit by limit. Switch between Monthly and Yearly prices; a yearly price says how much you save. Your own plan is marked Your plan. Press Subscribe to or Change to a plan to move to it. Bupple asks you to confirm, and says whether it is a move up or a move down. Only someone who can change the plan can buy one; everyone else is asked to talk to a workspace owner.
Subscription
Subscription shows Your plan: its status (such as Active or Ends soon), Credits every month, the Price, when it Started, when it Renews on or Ends on, the Current period and how it is paid. Below it, What your plan includes lists every limit on the workspace and how much of it you are using now.
To cancel, press Cancel plan. Nothing changes that day: you keep your plan until the end of the period, and then drop back to the free plan.
Top up
When you need more credits this month, open Top up, or press Top up credits on the Plans page.

The page shows the lowest and highest amount you can buy at once. If your plan does not allow top-ups, the page says so and offers See plans.
Auto top-up
Auto top-up, on the same page, buys credits for you when you run low, so a long job never stops for lack of credits.

- Save a card with Add a card.
- Switch on Turn on auto top-up.
- Fill in When my credits fall below (a number of credits), Buy this much ($) and Monthly limit ($), then press Save.
A summary line reads it back to you, for example Below 500 credits, buy 2,000 credits for $20.00 — at most $100.00 a month. The card shows what auto top-up has spent this month. When the monthly limit is reached, or the card has a problem, auto top-up pauses itself, says why, and tells you in your notifications. Your plan's subscription does not count toward the monthly limit.
Billing
Billing has two cards.
- Credits shows what you have: Available, then each kind of credit (free trial and promotional credits, Included with your plan, Credits you bought) and anything On hold. If a paying workspace went below zero, the bought line becomes Credits owed.
- Invoices lists every document issued to the workspace, with when it was issued, what period it covers and its status. View invoice opens it to print or save as a PDF. Download PDF and Receipt from Stripe are beside it.
To see what the credits were spent on, and by whom, open Activity. See Files and data.
