Notifications
How Bupple tells you what happened — the Updates panel and page, mentions, background jobs, banners, push, and the keys that move through them.
Video coming soon
The tutorial for this chapter is being recorded. The guide below covers everything in the meantime.
Bupple tells you when something needs you or is done: a teammate mentioned you, a video is ready, a post could not go out, a campaign is near its credit limit. All of it lands in Updates, near the bottom of the sidebar, with a count of what you have not read. Press U to open it from anywhere. What reaches you, and where, is up to you in Notification settings.
The Updates panel
Click Updates in the sidebar, or press U. A panel opens beside the sidebar with your newest updates.

- The tabs are All, Mentions, Notifications and Jobs. The keys A, M, N and J jump between them.
- Filters (key F) narrows the list to warnings or errors.
- Mark all read (key 0) clears what you are looking at. With a filter on, it says Mark these read.
- A file that is still processing shows Processing, then Ready or Failed. Stop stops waiting on it.
- Open all updates at the bottom (or Enter) opens the Updates page.
When there is nothing new, the panel says You're all caught up.
The count on Updates shows the loudest thing waiting: errors first, then warnings, then everything else.
The Updates page
The Updates page has everything in the workspace, newest first, with more room and more filters.

- The tabs are All, Mentions, Notifications and Background jobs. The sidebar lists them too, with Notification settings under them.
- Filter by Warnings or Errors, or by app, and search with Search updates (key K).
- Each update says which app it came from, when, and whether it is read. Open takes you to the thing it is about and marks it read. Mark read just marks it.
- Background jobs lists work still running: Waiting to start, Running, Waiting or Stuck. With nothing running it says Nothing is running right now.
Move through the list with the arrow keys. R marks the selected update read, and Enter opens it.
Banners
Some updates also show a banner in the top-right corner, on any page:
- every mention of you;
- every background job that finishes or fails, such as Your video is ready;
- warnings and errors;
- a social account that was just connected, with an offer to study its past posts.
A banner stays until you close it, unless you chose Close banners on a timer in your notification settings. Closing a banner does not mark the update read. When several arrive at once they stack, and hovering fans them out. From three banners on, Close all closes them together.
Push
When a job finishes, Bupple also sends a push notice to your browser or phone, even while you are in the app, so you hear about it on another device. A mention is pushed too. Your browser asks for permission the first time; you can change your mind in its site settings.
What you are told about
| Group | For example |
|---|---|
| Mentions | You were mentioned on a file, a post, a chat or an automation |
| Activity | a finished generation or Superagent answer; a post published or one that could not be; an account connected or disconnected; a Brand Kit suggestion; an automation that needs you |
| Files & processing | your video or design is ready or failed; a file is ready to play, or has been transcribed; an agent asking before it spends credits |
| Billing | your plan changed; auto top-up paused; a campaign used most of its credits; something skipped for lack of credits |
| Analytics alerts | a post taking off; engagement falling; a follower milestone; a campaign near its goal |
| Security | your access to a workspace changed; you were invited to a workspace |
| System | a notice that could not be delivered; a webhook that was switched off |
