Your first video, design and post

A short walk from an empty brand to a finished video, a matching design and a scheduled post — the three things most teams do first in Bupple.

Video coming soon

The tutorial for this chapter is being recorded. The guide below covers everything in the meantime.

This page takes you from a set-up brand to your first finished pieces: a short video from the Video Editor, a picture from the Design Editor, and a post that puts them on your social accounts. Each job runs on its own for a few minutes while you carry on. Each step links to the chapter that covers it in full.

Before you start, make sure the brand you want is selected at the top of the sidebar, and that its Brand Kit has at least your logo, colors and voice. Everything below reads it. Getting set up shows how.

1. Make a video

Press V, or click Video Editor in the sidebar.

The Video Editor's create box with a request typed in

In the box, write the video as you would brief a person: what it is about, how long, where it will be posted and how it should end. For example: A 20-second vertical video announcing our spring sale, upbeat, ending on our logo.
Press Attach to add any footage, product photos or your logo from the Media Library. You can also type @ and pick a file or folder by name.
Under Output, keep Vertical 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Stories. Tick Square 1:1 and Landscape 16:9 too if you want the same video for other networks. You get one file per shape, from one run.
Read the price note next to the button, then press Make the video.

The video takes several minutes. You can leave the page: Your video is ready arrives in Updates when it is done. Not quite right? Open the video and type what to change under Ask for a change. See Video Editor.

2. Make a matching design

Press D, or click Design Editor in the sidebar.

Describe the picture and give it the words to use. For example: An Instagram post for our spring sale: the headline "Spring sale — 20% off", one line under it, and our logo.
Open Output and pick the sizes, for example Portrait for the feed and Story for stories.
Attach the same product photos you gave the video, so the two match.
Press Make the design (or Make it at 2 sizes).

You get one picture per size, saved in your Media Library under Apps › Design Editor. See Design Editor.

3. Connect an account and schedule the post

Press P, or click Posts in the sidebar. If the brand has no social accounts yet, press Connect account, pick a network and sign in to it in the new tab. See Posts.

The New post screen with a video attached and an account picked

Press New post. Under Add media, pick the video you just made. Its folder is Apps › Video Studio in the Media Library. You can also open the file and choose Start a post with this file.
Write the caption, or press the sparkle button in the caption box to have one written for you.
Under Publish to, click the accounts it should go to. Each one says Ready, or what it still needs.
Under When, choose Schedule and pick a date and time, or Publish now.
Press Schedule for (the time). The post appears on the calendar.

Do the same for the design: a new post, the design's picture under Add media, and the right accounts.

Or ask the Superagent for all three

You can ask for the same work in one message in the Superagent chat, for example: Make a 20-second vertical video and an Instagram post for our spring sale, then draft a post for each. It starts the video and the design, posts them into the chat when they are done, and drafts the posts for you. Publishing is always your click.
